Early in my career, I managed a $2 million annual budget for a nonprofit education technology organization. I ensured funds were allocated according to each grant’s restrictions and purpose. I handled bookkeeping, payroll, and tax readiness, and prepared the books for the annual audit. This gave leadership the clarity to make confident decisions and funders the assurance that their contributions were used appropriately.

Now, years down the road, I’m providing bookkeeping services in San Jose, CA and throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and I genuinely love the work. My practice is built around the Profit First method, which helps business owners take control of their cash flow by prioritizing profit, maintaining financial clarity, and staying consistently prepared for taxes.

Outside of bookkeeping, I spend time in my professional-quality recording studio, where I write and produce original indie-alt music. I also create digital artwork and am developing music videos to accompany my songs. My creative work sharpens my eye for systems, structure, and storytelling. These are the same qualities I bring to every client relationship.

I was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, but my family moved away when I was a small child. After several relocations, we eventually settled in Kerrville, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. It’s where I learned to appreciate Tex-Mex, barbecued brisket, and Friday night high school football. I live in Los Gatos, California, with my wife, Katy, and our sweet but salty cat, Peaches.
